what paint can i use to paint my car rocker-cover?

if it's alloy you'l need one with self etching primer. why not clean and polish with scotch brite!

I would use a stone guard primer under a good coat of lacquer to paint your rocker panel. Any good rust preventative paint will be a cheaper alternative. It depends on how good you want it to look. A body shop would be the best way to go, though they won't guarantee rust repair (at least in Michigan).

almost any car paint as the rocker does not get that hot so high temp paint is a waste of money for such a simple job

make sure the cover is cleaned and no oil is present. Use a high temp engine enamel paint. It should be heat resistant.
