It is different for everyone and can change from one story to the next depending on interaction between the characters. You already have some idea of what sexual tension means to you. My definition (short and sweet for now) is as follows:
Sexual tension is the presence of sparks and spice between two characters. These sparks both draw them together and push them apart.
What do I mean by this? If I can feel the atmosphere thickening by an inch for every second the characters are together, I know I've found it. If my heart pounds and I'm totally caught up in the story, I've found it. If the characters are drawn to each other but can't (for any number of reasons) consummate their relationship, chances are good the sexual tension is palpable.

Sexual Tension is this almost explosive feeling in the very depths of your soul. You want that person more than anything. Nothing would stand in your way, if you had just one moment. But for whatever reason, something big or small is always standing in the way. And it just builds, there is nothing that satisfies it. The only way it will be satisfied is if you get that one chance. Patience plays a very big part. Soon it will happen. And when it does, it can be the most amazing thing you can ever experience.

Sexual tension is when you really like a guy (or girl) and you really want to have a little more fun with them than usual and they feel the same. The whole horomone thing, you know?
