They have gotten rid of almost every big name player before the season starts.

The short answer is yes. The long answer is YEEESSSS!

They got far too little in return for Spikes and Holcomb. I do approve of the McGahee trade because he was walking at season's end anyway. However they have done NOTHING to address the present glaring need at RB, and #12 is too early to draft Lynch from Cal. I suppose they'll look for a RB in Round 2 like Michael Bush, Kenny Irons, or Michael Pittman...or with the 1st overall pick they will obviously receive next year.

You'd thinkso, but I have faith in marv Levy. Takeo Spikes was awful last year and is making way too much money to be anything less than outstanding. Clements was going no matter what, and London Fletcher-Baker was on the wrong side of 30. I think I'll miss Fletch the most, but we had to address the Offensive and Defensive line problems. Did we overpay for the guys we got on the O line...I think so, but that is what free-agency has become. It's like winning the lottery for some of these guys. I only hope that we can get out of them, what we think we can. If we take a step back this season, the fans will point to us overspending and losing players, and I don't know what will happen with management and the coaching staff.
I think no matter what, we need to keep the same people in the same place for a couple of years and give them a chance to make something happen. Ralph Wilson is running out of excuses and we are all tired of him crying about revenue. He is very rich and all of the owners are making a ton of money every year, whether their teams win or lose. He knew what he was getting into when he purchased this franchise, and it has made him very wealthy over the last 30 + years. I worry that he will move the club for a better deal(New Stadium) and that it will kill the local economy, but that's putting the cart in front of the horse at this point.
Let's hope that the Defense can hold together and that Offense will start to show signs of life.
This may be the most important draft the team has faced in their history. Not only do we need a starter-quality RB, but we also have to replace two Pro-Bowl calibre LB's as well as find a CB and a TE . We have a lot o f hols to fill and I don't know how we are going to do it. We have a bunch of picks, but we have to get better ...quick, and i don't know if we can fill the voids left this year alone.
It will be interesting to see what's next with this team.

When you look past the "big names" who're stars only in name, you see a roster loaded with young talent. Crowell, Kelsay, Youboty, Whitner, Simpson, Losman, Evans, Peters, Dockery, Williams, McCargo, Ellison....the Bills have gotten rid of the last vesitiges of the Donahoe era. Those players achieved, at best, mediocrity. They weren't a team so much as a collection of players who had coincidentally donned the same uniform before the game. We're building a team now, a young, hungry team that'll be together for years to come....and we haven't even gotten to the draft yet.

I'm cooking a whole lot of crow, do you like yours grilled, baked, or fried? Oh, and revenue is a very big deal, if you want the Bills to stay where they are after Ralph dies....

They like Angelo Crowell enough and had a big enough need at DT to trade for Darwin Walker. Spikes also has a history of injuries. The Bills can pick up the linebacker in the draft. Their would not a a great DT when they have their pick, there will still be the best LB's available though

The Bills owner must be trying to move the franchise. They make the least amount of profit for any franchise and if they moved to Las Vegas or Las Angeles would anybody really miss them. Defiantly not after this season. The league also seems very unlikely to add a 33rd team would mess up the schedules and conferences so this is their best shot.
