It has to be sent in for maintenance it will aventually not even turn on we got the waranty then sent it in. They suck up alot of dust and start messing up it takes two weeks to get it back. but definettly make sure you have an warranty other wise the charge for repairs is higher then the warranity.

Sorry but your son has joined the hundreds in the 3 ring of death club, it simply means your 360 has died. If you have the warrenty then MS will fix it for free, if not it will cost $100+. So the best thing to do is to keep calling the xbox hotline untill you get customer service rep

this means your 360 is broken for good. Call the number and sooner or later the automated answerer will connect you with a real person to talk to. They will pretty much tell you to send it in.

If im not mistaken, Microsoft has admitted all of their 360's have a problem and are fixing them free of charge with free shipping also. All you have to do is call them.

Ah, haven't seen that one in a while.

That is a glitch that affected many first-generation 360s, rendering them unplayable. It became affectionately known as the "glowing red semicircle of death". Microsoft addressed the problem. Now, any 360 affected by the GRSOD is considered defective. They'll give you a new one.

Yes, my friends 360 did the same thing. Try calling 1-800-4my-xbox. They should be able to fix it or give you a new one, because that one is defective.

firs purchase on Microsoft X360 will be extended warranty to one year. and free replacement, but you have to pay one way shipping to them.

when you call 1-800-4MY-XBOX, you must going over with the computer and tell them "next" and next untill they transfer your call to live person.

i have my 2nd replacement since 2005.

overrall, i like X360 games than PS3, but the console need change to CPU fan instead of just heatsink.

Good luck
