What applicants from abroad should have to get admitted to top american universities??? please help.?

Does anybody know, what an applicant from abroad should have in order to get admitted to Harvard, Princeton or Yale? My rank in my high school is #1, my GPA is 5.0/5.0, I am the president of my student council, i scored 2110 on my sat, i had volunteering, working experience, participated at two intern. conferences, alumni of the FLEX exchange program to us., UIL regional stages winner including in the US, have many extracur. activities.. the notifications are about to come in a couple of days.. what should i expect from this "campaign"? i am from Azerbaijan, a small country.. plz, give some advice; what to excpect... what are THE MOST IMPORTANT things for intern. applicants in their applications??? thank YOU!

Did you take the TOEFL (test of English as a Foreign Language)? English obviously isn't your first language, so you'll need that first of all.

The most important thing is that you prove you can handle the coursework, that you will likely graduate. They use your grades, SAT scores, English language ability, the way you've coped with life in general, your ability to pay and the way your admissions essay looks to assess that.

Of all the thousands of applications they get, those who can prove they will finish their degree (and will be likely to get a job after that) will get in.

After your ability to finish, they pick the most interesting students. Because there are a lot of students who show they have what it takes, but they want people who show they have what it takes to really make the University stand out. So those who've been in student council, those who've volunteered, those who've done interesting things and can express those things in an interesting way have an advantage.

As an international student, you need to show you can cope with American life, and that you're interesting.
