does anyone know the length of statue of limitations for d.u.i in the state of ill. it`s been 25 years.?

i don`t live in ill. not for 20 years,and they wont give my d.l.`s back. p.s. been sober for over 5 years thanks

Unfortunately, I know quite a few people who have gotten DUIs in Illinois, some of them have even had more than one. They have all gotten their driver's licenses back. Is it possible that you haven't completed whatever program they wanted you to complete or did you injure someone or cause damage to something that hasn't been paid for or something like that?

They wont give my husband one either and it has been 30 yrs. His dui was in Minn. I dont think they ever go away.
