Do you guys do anything with your lives other than answer questions all day.

I dont even have enough time in my day to answer my quota of 80, so even then id get 160 points a day, maybe add a couple of best answers so thats 180 points a day, so over 7 days thats 1260 a week, and im certainly not spending my weekends on here so what do you guys do other than answer 100's of questions a day.

Surely you cant just answer every question that comes up, there must be somethings you cant answer

I'm unable to work due to a disability, so I do hav more than my fair share of spare time to answer questions. There does seem to be a few of us level 7'ers that are either disabled, on long term sick leave or full time carers.

I think a lot of us near the top of the leaderboard have quite a high % of best answers - It onlytakes 100 best answers a week to get 1200 points. Add to that the 700 points a week most of us get from voting, and it isn't that difficult to get 2000 or so a week.

I'm selective with my answering - I sitck to the areas that I can actually help. I know Yahoo! Answers pretty well after being here so long, so its easy to help people out in that section. I've also got a fair amount of experience with mental health problems and the health system, so I answer a few over there. I don't answer the poll type questions which have 100 answers, I'd rather aim for the bonus points from best answer than lots of 2 point answers. I also remember the Yahoo! Answers Mantra when answering questions, "does my post add value?" Something like that anyway, I've been searching high and low for where I read that and as yet haven't found it!

Answering questions is easy. Coming up with an interesting question to ask would be somewhat harder. I am new to this but I just enjoy throwing in my two cents worth on all kinds of subjects.
It's like having a four-year-old: Daddy why is the sky blue? It's all about having the answers, or finding a way to present something so it can be digested. It makes us feel intelligent, or at least gives us a chance to believe that we can help someone.
Personally, my daughter is gone, she's been away at college for two years already and this fills a little void. Besides, you can only do spider solitare and sudoku for so many hours a day before that gets old. The questions here are always changing.
That's just my humble opinion.

It's not to answer all questions, but the ones you know the answer to, thus receiving bonus point for each question.
