My best friend has always wanted a boy, so she bought every book on the subject and has tried every theory known to mankind. The end result is three daughters, so I'm guessing there really is no way to make it happen. I hope you get your wish and the boy you long for!

Try the book "How to Choose the Sex of your Baby" we read it after having 2 daughters and hoping for a son the 3rd time (mind you, we would have been fine with another girl, as I'm sure you would). It gives you specific things to try, such as foods/drinks to consume or avoid... specific positions or timing. I'm not really sure how much merit this stuff has, but we did try a few things and baby #3 was indeed a boy! Good luck and I wish you a happy healthy baby!

Work out exactly when you ovulate, then have sex on that day only. The boy sperm are faster, so will get there quicker.
Heat kills off the boys, so hubby needs to wear loose boxers and stay cool.
Abstain from sex a few days before ovulation to build up the sperm count, as low sperm counts = girls.

These are only a few I can think of at the moment. I read the book "choosing the sex of your baby" by hazel chesterman-phillips. A really interesting read! Mind you, we didn't follow any real format, and had 3 boys! I think its more whatever you get, feel blessed and be thankful. But the very best of luck to you!

Go there. My first pregnancy worked out right, a boy.
We tried for a girl this time, using that same chart. I'm 21 weeks along, and wont be finding out the sex until the baby comes.
It doesn't work out all the time. It didn't work for a couple of my friends, but for the most part it was right. With my first pregnancy I attended prenatal classes with about 20 or more other women. We all entered out information on there, and out of about 25 of us, only two came back wrong. All the rest had the sex of their child right on.
Remember, you only have a 50-50 chance of getting what you want, hehe. Nothing is certain.

You can find out your most fertile days each month with this calculator, then go to the other link and punch the dates in there. That's what I did. Not sure if it really works, but worth a try!

Good luck and have fun!

There are lots of ways that people say you can be more likely to have a boy, but one of the most reliable is to go through invitro-fertilization and have your hubby's sperm frozen. You'll have about an 80% chance of having a boy with thawed sperm. Good luck on a healthy pregnancy and delivery. :)

For a boy, I have read that you have to conceive on the day you are ovulating. There are books available on picking the gender but I they are not 100% reliable methods. I suggest doing some research.... good luck to you..

it is not 50% as one would think...
try talking to a fertility specialist...home remedies like doggy style, douching with coca cola before sex....are useless...
the physical makeup of semen is different...male sperm are smaller and swim faster, but poop out quicker, where female sperm and bigger, swim slower and last longer...
there has been some promise with centrifuging semen...the size does make a difference here and the female sperm go to the bottom of the TT and the male sperm is on top of the supernatant...they draw that off and put that into a turkey baster and poof...you're having a boy
it sounds a lot better, I do not know the %ages....though
'good luck
its better to have boys...with boys you only have to worry about one penis, with girls you have to worry about all of them...

I think you need to think of it as trying for a baby and hoping its a boy. You could have twin girls.... who knows! You can do a search and find the techniques they "say" work like positions, your body temperature, and time of the month.

You can read "Choosing the Sex of your Baby" I read in this book that you should have sex closer to ovulation and to try the rear entry position(doggy style).
