I don't really care. Yes there is a check spell ,but unless your spelling is way off..big deal. Most ppl want to ask or answer a question and get it over with instead of wasting time on the petty things. This is for learning and entertainment not for the speech teachers. I have a friend on here and i think its time to call him a English teacher. Since the day I've known him,he always has to correct you and teach you the "proper"way to speak English. If you misspell something he acts like your retarded,Get over it we are typing NOT TALKING here.

I dunno - I admit that typos kinda annoy me, but so long as the question/answer is understandable, I'm OK with it. I mean - c'mon - this is Yahoo! Answers. I'm willing to cut people some slack here. But still, it wouldn't hurt to practice good spelling. Unintentional typos in printed material sold on newsstands and such, however, are a different story.

So long, and don't let the typo-grouchos get you down! Not too much, anyhow :)

I think it's the fact that you're given a 'preview' page before you click submit.
As if Yahoo is asking you if you're sure this is what you want others to think of your intellect...

When questions are posted misspelled, it's as if people don't give a rat's butt, which most really don't. Typing errors, when reading something typed, can be considered like speaking wrong.

Hey, I didn't make the rule...I'm just answering the question, don't get mad at me!

If the typos are something simple like single mistake here and there they arent too bad. However, if somone makes alot of mistakes or use very poor sentence structure, what they write becomes hard to read.

If teh typos something smple a single mistak here an their they arent too bad however if alot of mistakes uses verypoor sentance structure what they right becomes hard too read.

It's personal preference. I always feel that someone doesn't care if they don't correct their mistakes. Of course, I am extremely anal, too. In my line of work a typo or spelling error can make a huge difference in someone's medical treatment.
