If you really meant what you asked:
-You will already be in politics
-Have the right connections
-Know all the big guyz in your district / state and then national level
-Must have a circle of 100-200 people hanging around you doing nothing.
If you are not already the above, then start like this:
-To gain experience join the political party that has lost the last election - they will take your help, and will have lots of money and will always be critizising the winning party. So you will have lots of opportunity to appear in the news. And if you do well the leading parties will anyway want you to join them.
-Do social service in your area
-Make lots of poor people come to your house and promise them help - and also really help them
-Plan for "bandh" and "dharnas"
-Look for broken bus stands / bad roads / illegal constructions in your area - if you are "neat" you will help the local community to eradicate the problem. If you are "corrupt" you will join the illegal guys and make money
-Participate in all local Govt holidays - Flag hoisting during National holidays
-Make sure you are invited as chief guest for local school functions.
-You need promoters - industrialists, political people...
It is a lot of hard work.. and remember only one in a billion has that seat. You are in direct competition with Rahul Gandhi, and he has power and family background.. All the best

first u have to get into politics, you dont necessarily have to go straight to prime minister. first be known, be elected into the small offices and gradually work ur way up and also dont forget to have a clean record!
