I see snakes all the time here. Poisonous ones even.
I had gone to the lake with my daughters last 4th of July, though, and my sister met us there with her kids. Her son is the same age as my oldest daughter so they always play together. We caught them poking around off the dock with a stick and my brother in law said "What are you doing?" and they said "Catching a worm.."
It wasn't a worm.. It was a copperhead. I'd say that's the most scared I've ever been of one because my kid was so close to it and trying to poke it with a stick.

Late last summer. It was only a garter snake and really not that big, but it scared the pee-diddle out of me. I actually think we scared each other. I was going down the back steps in a hurry w/o really paying attention and when I turned around the snake was kind of squiggling & flopping around like I surprised him too. It's funny now, but at the time I think I flew back in the house, screaming all the way. Anyway my hubby caught it and my son took it to school for his science class to see. Before that it was a hog-nose snake, but it was tiny and they play dead so I wasn't quite as freaked out. It also got to be head of the science class for a while, which is fine with me because I don't make a very gracious host when it comes to creepy crawly things. Especially snakes!!!

I would have to say it was when i held my brothers albino bermeise python. It was the coolest snake that i have ever held. At the time of his death, the snake was 14 ft long and weighed 185 lbs. It took three of us to hold the snake. Or 2 transfer it from the tank 2 the bathtub so that the tank could be cleaned

I get the crap scared out of me by a lizard. I think a big snake would put me in the grave from a coronary.

Three years ago. I was taking a bag of garbage to the garbage can and there it was! I jumped a foot, did a little dance and ran off squealing, a very girlie thing to do. My son and husband cracked up. It wasn't even a very BIG snake.

Snakes don't scare me a jot. But I freaked out when I saw a big spider in the bathtub.

Snakes are cool, they're usually more scared of us than we are of them. Just don't step on one.
