Advancements in chemistry are working to make things smaller, easier to use.

Jeez, where do I start? Global warming for instance. Researchers are developing fuels that are more efficient, thereby cutting the CO2 emissions. In places that have been polluted by industrial activity, researchers are designing new chemicals that can be used to clean up the environment without harming it.

Chemistry is important in every field from fire fighting, to pharmaceuticals, food, agriculure (better pesticides, better dairy products), beer making, wineries and yes, making chemical weapons. Research in all these fields is going apace and will impact us today and in the future.
