is tuna safe for my pregnant wife?

Congratulations!

Actually tuna is safe for pregnant women, what she should stay away from is big fish that live a long time such as Shark, because those creatures have a high concentration of mercury.

What she should eat as much as possible or as much as she likes is SALMON....
great for her and baby!

I recently spoke with a doctor about my own concerns and this was his advice.

Also she shouldn't eat full meals but eat little things throughout the day.

Since it contains mercury, I would think not. I do know that many pregnant women avoid it... both tuna steaks and canned tuna.

Yes, but with the worry about mercury, they say limit your intake of tuna to once a week or so. That way the level of mercury in her system won't get high.

i am da_fynest_boricua's wife and i am 8 and a half months pregnant. hold on i think my water just broke. ok i'm back i cleaned it up. my question is if you have a problem with it?
