Would you want to be just a piggy rich person or good reputation and honour at the cost of some of your wealth. Face it, if we be dishonest with tax, we're option 1. else option 2.

a very charming lad once told me that one should never question oneself or anyone about material wealth. if one questions one's material wealth one will never be successful in one's life. I sincerely feel that people respect you when you have money or you are a saint.
if you ask me if i want to be rich or respected,i'd say both along with a castle in scotland(highly unrealistic, but dreams do come true)
in our society, people respect you when you have money, if you dont have money but are respected, chances are you belong to a good"khandan".
ultimately, i feel that human beings should try to be proper human beings, because that is the most difficult thing to do and the least easy to achieve, so we should try to do that.

Our ultimate ambition for our beliefs is knowledge. Because if I do know something, then not only am I justified, or rational, in a belief; because I have knowledge, I have the truth. So naturally, when we are thinking about the epistemic features of our beliefs, the big question is this: When do I have knowledge? When can I say that I have it? As I'm sure you are aware, there are some people who claim that we can't have knowledge; such people are called skeptics. More on that, of course, later.

Now I can describe to you the field of epistemology, which is also called the theory of knowledge. Here is a definition:

Epistemology includes the study of (1) what the epistemic features of belief, such as justification and rationality, each are (e.g., what justified belief is); (2) the origin or sources of such features (and thus the sources of knowledge); (3) what knowledge is, i.e., what epistemic features would make a true belief knowledge; (4) whether it is possible to have knowledge.

I would rather have a good reputation and great honor with little wealth. What can you do with a lot of money if no one likes you or everyone thinks this or that about you and you never have anyone over to share it with.

you see my friend if you have material wealth it doesn't mean that the reputation you get is worth something. People look for their own gain (sometimes). But if ou have a godd reputation ou will have material wealth as well but most important you have a good reputation

Neither -

The Ultimate ambition should be to spend the rest of Eternity with Christ.

"For what shall it profit a man if he gains all the treasures of the World but loses his soul doing it"?

(Or words to that effect!)

Besides if we live right, the way God wants us to, God will give us everything we need!

"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want!".

And Reputation is merely a form of vanity so who needs it?

Reputation. You can earn wealth after reputation but you may not earn...
Wealth is also necessary for reputation.
Rich can get reputation with efforts / donation etc.

Ultimate ambition is neither wealth nor good reputation but only UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. That is our true nature and can only give us real happiness. We all are seekers of true love.
