My oldest daughter had tried to change her little sister's diaper by herself instead of coming and waking me up...
They did this on her new white bedspread and then tried to hide it by cover it up with my white bathrobe.

Yes, I did wake up pleasantly. I woke up when my husband came and kissed me on the forehead before he went to work.
Kids can be so much fun. She was just trying to help. When my oldest two were tiny, the 2-year-old picked up the baby by the neck and brought him to me. Nice and helpful, huh?

Ok, so as much as that sucked, she was trying to help - she loves her mommy! My oldest once woke me up when he was about 3 by trying to make pancakes in the microwave...with a spatula and a mylar balloon! Of course the microwave was no good after that. I didn't sleep in my bed for two years because he was so sneaky!

You probably didn't view it as cute at the time but that is adorable that she tried to help you. If she really wants to, show her the proper way or give her one of the waterproof pads that she can use when she feels like helping again.
As for the sheets- that's what bleach is for.
