If you gave her 60 days notice, and are paid up until the end of the month, she can do nothing to prevent you entering that apartment.

Call the police, and have a copy of your lease and your letter of notice to quit, and the receipts for your rent with you. THEY will explain to her that what she is trying to do is against the law.

that's way too lots to verify. yet, truly, the owner would not have replaced the locks till when you all went to courtroom for the eviction listening to and after the choose informed you what date you had to be out. so some distance as him suing you, all you're able to do is pass to courtroom once you get the summons to look and state your case. Please shop it undemanding and actual. in case you ramble directly to a choose such as you probably did in this question, you will lose the case in line with that on my own. The room mate isn't even an argument, and it has not something to do with something. you will have taken care of the region your self for the mattress insects once you found out landlord wasn't going to do something. you will desire to take some duty.

It doesn't sound like we are hearing the whole story here... did you skip? If so the landlord can change the locks, your property is considered abandoned property. She will most likely let you in to get your stuff... again, you are not telling the whole story.

Depends on the state. For example, Texas landlords ARE allowed to rekey a rental unit, but must provide a copy of the new key to the tenant if they request it.

Self help evictions are not allowed in any state. Your landlord can not change the locks if your tenancy is not over without your permission.

I would check with the renters association for your area plus what ever the law states in your state. I know that in my state what your landlord has done is considered illegal. I would contact a lawyer that deals with such cases. He would be able to advise you of what your legal rights are and what steps should be taken.

She cannot ever change the locks without a court order. Call the police.

No that is an illegal lock out, she cannot do that until your lease is expired.
