While I respect and agree with some point Curious Gilr made, I must address the fact that she is depicting Casablanca as too modern for what it really is.
Casablanca is indeed the economic capital of the kingdom. Rabat is the administrative one. However, talking about "malls and shopping centers" is slightly overstated. One would comprehend and assume this is a european type where such amenities are as common as a moroccan grocerie store aka "epicerie".
The malls in questions are called "kisariyates" and consist of walk-in in the first level of some buildings with multiple shops. The shopping centers are more like your common Costco or BJ's in the US where you usually have to have a member's card to buy from there. Everyone seems to be a member and the fact is that it's not very rigourous so you can go with someone's card.
In between the kissariyates, the commercial shopping stores and the epiciries you have a new collection of market centers where you can find most of the local and imported products, but not to be confused with a western consumer store like Wallmart or even smaller like Cap3000 in Paris or LaPardieu in Lyon.
Other than giving a true-false idea of the shopping experience, Curious Girl has rightly suggested to be careful with your belongings and pockets when you visit the "souks", popular traditional market places where you can find anything from the new to the used and more.
Morocco is a muslim country, however moderate it may be, use your common sense and remember to be conservative in your fashion statement and behavior.
The major hotels have nightclubs and are pretty reputable amongst the elite community of Casablanca. You can party till the wee hours and really enjoy. Famous and international DJs are regulars in some of the clubs.
If you go to the Ocean Front aka La Cote, you'll find a multitude of restaurants, the good and the less good but it's all about what you like to eat really, a few clubs there too and a lot of the young generation gather in that area. It's quite festive in the summer and if you like swimming pools that's where you'd have to be, the beach is not bad either, but it's the atlantic, don't expect warm water but remember, no topless bathing.
Besides that, any good review online about Casablanca applies, Curious Girl being a travele agent has pointed it's a great experience to enjoy really

Casablanca is te economic capital city of Morocco.
It's a big and modern city when you kind find everything you might need, shoping centers and malls, good hotels, night clubs, international and multi speciality restaurants and coffe shops, swiming pools, sport centers.........
Casablanca is not a city of touristic attraction however, i mean, there is no great monuments to see comparing to the other Moroccan imperial cities (Marrakech, Fez.....),but it has its own charm!
In Casablanca you can Visit the wonderful Mosquee of Hassan II, it's direcrty open to the Atlantic coast, very beautiful art of building that you can notice there!!
you can visit also the old "Habous" neighberhood, it's beautiful and special, you kind buy traditional gifts and handmade products
the modern city is interesting to visit, if you want to do some shopping, or to eat good food, either Moroccan , chinese, Lebanese or whatever...everything is there.........
If you like adventures, you can Go to the "Derb Ghallef" Souk, it's a wonderful and special world that you can find anywhere else! but you shoudl be careful, very careful, watch your pockets!!!
in that place you can find everything with unbelievable prices, computers, mobiles, the latest ones, jeans, clothes, used stuffs, good deals in everything!
it's also the capital of the hackers(sorry for the spelling), the most famous and genious ones are there, they can do anything u can imagien!!
