I like the one with Mary J Blige, it sounds rich, with U2 & Mary, they do make improvements to their songs.

Definitely the original version. You may like the other version because maybe you are not as big of fan of U2, or you like her style better. I did love the soul she put into it, though. Like I said, many fans prefer the original because it is purely U2. I do at least. ONE of the greatest songs EVER!!!! (the only other ones that come close are all U2, too.)

Mary is a fantastic singer, but I found her version a little 'I can't believe it's not Soul music' if you get my drift.
I'm not a big U2 fan, but their version captured the emotion of it better!

I'd have to agree w/Marjorie and IN2U2 on this one... I am happy and excited about the fact that MJB performed the cover, but it doesn't come close to touching the original. "One" is almost a 'perfect song,' as far as i'm concerned... Love Bono, The Edge, Larry, and Adam for being such positive role models for the entire world!!! Fun question...

I like Mary's voice but I don't think her singing style sounded right on this song it was like all forced emotion. I like the original better it has a more somber tone.

Well, the original is my favorite song ever, so of course I'm going to go with that. I have to say that I really don't care for the MJB version. I really wish they hadn't even gone there. If it's not broken, don't fix it!
