all the males in my dads side of the family are very phyically dominant at everything inlcuding myself im a mma fighter and sice the age of 16 have been strong me and my brothers were never intrested in exercise or competing once we starting hitting adult hood we changed and started filling out my brother is a dominant rugby player my dad is a pro power lifter my great grandad was a pro boxer i used to do bodybuliding but now do mma this must be genetic i seem to dominate my sport as does my dad and brother will mine and my brothers kids be just as dominant as us and are we genetically coded to compete ageinst others

There may be an element that is genetic or it could be environmental factors. In a family it is most likely that all the men even over several generations would be raised in a similar manner. In order to prove a genetic cause a twin study would have to be done, of identical twins separated at birth. It the separated twins were more likely to both carry the traits then you could prove a genetic link. Just because a characteristic is present in all members of a family does not mean it is genetic.
