I'm going to the Keys and want to get some good ideas on what we can do there. We are going to see the Hemingway house but have nothing else particular planned. Has anyone been to the keys and what are some great things to do there?

Glass Bottom Boat Ride--Pennikamp State Park-Key Largo
Watch the sun rise and set on Key West.
Check out Key Marathon
Camp out right on the beach on one of the smaller keys along the route to Key West
Go snorkeling (if you don't scuba dive)-the water is fairly shallow and the reefs are tall enough that you can really see alot from just snorkeling
You can swim with dolphins in places.
Take lots of photos--roadside sign pics are fun
Have lots of fun and WEAR sunscreen!

The Keys are so awesome and you have so much to do there. The water is excellent for snorkeling or scuba diving and they have instructors to teach you how, you can swim with the dolphins (my Favorite) If you go to Key west You have to do the infamous Duval Crawl. Duval St has a bar what seems like every other building and the Idea of it is to start at the beginning and have a drink at each one until you get back to where you started from. I've attempted it several times and have yet to make it the whole way, well for one, the bars have such good entertainment whether its the customer making you laugh or the great bands that they have playing of different kinds of music Bottom line, there is a lot of things to do in the Keys But I think the best part is watching the sunrises and sunsets which you can catch both of them over the water all you have to do is cross the street. you have the Atlantic on the east side and the golf on the west side. Its a beautiful place and I'm sure you'll enjoy all that the keys have to offer. Get A tourist guide when you get there or ask your travel agent for 1
Also check out Deer Key its one of the Keys and it has protected Key Deer they are so cute the look like little dogs Miniture deer how cool is that?!!!!!

Glass bottom boat trip, the beaches and snorkling are good, go to Key west for the sundown festival (every nite at sunset) If you are old enough there are bars galore in Key West. If you like Sea Food, Turtle Crawls is good. I don't know too much about the other Keys, spent quite a bit of time in Key West while in the Navy.

I was not in the keys, but I was in Puerto Rico. To me, just lounging on a secluded beach is best. Take you towel, your sunscreen, your snorkel/mask and your honey-bunny!!! (throw in a radio) and you got paradise!!!
