Is it more common in some parts of the world than others?

I go barefoot all the time. Always at home and 90% of the time when I'm out. I don't like to wear shoes because I'm more comfortable barefoot and I also found out that shoes are not really healthy for your legs and feet. I feel that anyone should be able to walk around barefoot wherever they want without getting wierd looks.
BTW - "Shoes req'd by order of health departments" is a myth. I've never found a single regulation on health departments web sites.

Very often. I love being barefoot at home. Too bad the floor is often a bit too cold for it, otherwise I'd be barefoot all the time.
I'm sure it's more common in some parts of the world than others. I'm from Iceland and here people take off their shoes when entering homes. Some people use slippers inside, others just walk around wearing their socks or barefoot.

I'm always barefoot at home but it isn't very common here, almost people I know keep their shoes on inside, at most they may take them off at some point of time late in the evening but not right away.

It/s more common in countries, and areas, where the people are not uptight about others walking natural (barefoot) everywhere. I wore shoes two weeks ago, at a nice restaurant - but it's unusual for us. BF'n is freedom, fun, cool looking and sexy (ask most any guy! ;-) - and very healthy for the feet and muscles.

Always, unless I intend to go outside.
Sometimes if it's cold I'll wear socks around the house.
It's not very common for people to wear shoes at home here in Australia.

I'm always barefoot at home. I wish everyone who walked in too their shoes off and keep all that dirt we pick up on the streets out.

ALL THE TIME!!!! don't get me wrong, I LOVE SHOES, but when i'm at home, the only thing even close to shoes that i wear are my pink "happy bunny" bedroom slippers
