There is quite a list of actors written out or suspended from soaps because of misdemeanours in their private life.

Len Fairclough
Ray Langton (reprieved)
Lloyd Mullaney "
Steve MacDonald "
Jim MacDonald "
Terry Duckworth "

to name but a few...

Soap producers do not like bad press on their stars, so are sometimes quite ruthless, so as not to bring their show into disrepute.

Okay, let's get the facts correct. Ben Freeman is NOT on trial. He has been attending a preliminary hearing to determine whether there is any evidence against him to be sent to trial.

Depends on the outcome of his trial i suppose, if he is found guilty he will receive a life sentence, if not guilty he will still prob be written out as he prob wont be as popular!

Nope, he is gonna get life if he is convicted.

And even if he isn't, I don't think any tv company will touch him with a barge pole.
