There is no physical proof of god's existence...but regardless of weather or not there is an "all-mighty" to control all, there is some kind of "physical", tangible force one often feels(recognised most commonly as god), this force is what is behind the biological, chemical etc reactions.
but at the end of the day, this is only a physical forcre, just like gravity is. this force would be meaningless had there been no gravity to support it, likewise gravitational force would be meaningless without this force that we call god to support it.
gravity is just an example. all the forces(it has been established previously) are inter-dependant.
So basically, GOD, is just a physical force, that our ancestors could not properly understand( or did not try hard enough)..the same way a lot of people worship the sun. it has been established that the sun is just a star...in lay man's words its just a ball of hot gas....so doesn't it make sense to say that whorshipping "goid" is useless, because

"it" cannot do anything to help us...its only a force.

Also, when we take it to be a physical force, we can cosider "over-coming" it...we overcame gravity to reacxh the moon...think of what we may be able to achieve if we over-came god...am i right?

God is brokenheartedly us.

This is the undeniable separation of our unity; just like when the mind finds the heart and makes it its own; breaking it; like true friends in love fighting to make the other better, and becoming more as one as they break.

But now it has a heart of its own and it likes it; this is the evolution of the most awkward friendship of the mind and the heart. True friends indeed they must become and they certainly will too.

How can two walk together and prosper along the way?

The mind must consider and learn about feelings and the heart must consider and learn about thoughts, the mind must share its feelings and the heart its thoughts; thus becoming inseparable best friends.

There is no physical proof that Alexander the great existed. only what we read from the writings of those that came after him. So basically all we have are books. So then we have the bible, that tells us to investigate this, what could be, important fact of a god existing. Lets call him an extremely powerfull being for this exchange of beliefs. If we want "scientific" proof of some kind, I offer this as a standard. NASA, has a program that can define the positions of all known planets and stellar objects at any given time, pass, present and future. When someone was playing around and looking into the pass, they discovered two instances of time missing, one was 23hrs and 20 minutes, the other 40 minutes. this adds up to 24hrs. in the book of Joshua it is recorded that "the sun stood still for the most part of the day". In second Kings20:8-11 it says that "the shadow of the sun went back 10 degrees, that is 40 minutes. If you read this part for yourself, you have to admit that any being who can stop the sun from moving, and even cause it to go backwards demands some kind of respect and admiration. At least some kind of investigation as to what He is all about. Sorry to be so long, but I believe this topic to be important. Check it out, there is so much more....

The Jehovah WItness' teach that the "Holy SPirit" is God's Active force. However, God is beyond just being a force. He is a force to be reckoned with.

A "Force" doesn't have personality, character, or will. God has all.

There is no way that man can escape the fact of the existence of God. Whether you have physical proof of His existence or not. THere are many things that we can not prove physically, that we don't carelessly dismiss.

However, God is beyond that, and whether you believe in Him, He will always believe in you.

I wish you well.

We will never overcome Him. He is an infinite Being. He is All-powerful, All-knowing, and Everywhere present at the same time. He is the Supreme Creator of everything. He was before there was time.

Everything created has a starting point. You trace your ancestry, parents, grandparents, etc... keep going back and you'll eventually run out of people and it will boil down to the first man and woman, then you must ask, how did they get here. The answer is God.

You have some very interesting insights about the nature of the world, but it seems that you may have unnecessarily associated these ideas with the nature of God. If your argument is that God is a physical entity within the space-time continuum, (a physical force, like gravity), it would seem that you are advocating a kind of pantheist materialism. It seems an interesting idea, but are you truly describing God, or simply the sum total of all that exists and projecting upon that personality and will? Is what you describe actually God or merely a projection of what you think God would be if God exists? This seems to me to be what is problematic in your reasoning. I would recommend thinking about God, not as a being within the world, but as the sheer act of being itself. Start from here and then seek to understand St. Anselm's maxim that God is that which nothing greater can be thought. This is recommended, not necessarily to engender belief in God, but to discipline the mind to be able to think about what we might be saying or not saying when we refer the questions of God's identity and existence. Establishing "proof" for God's existence or non-existence continues to be problematic, but often times the deeper problem than looking for "proof" of God's existence is a clarification of what precisely we are talking about when we make reference to God. Further, a philosopher named Mortimer Adler (I know it's a funny name) wrote a book some years ago entitled "How to Think about God". It is very helpful in this regard. I recommend it.

Sorry, I don't buy it. For the uneducated lightning, birth, death, earthquakes, etc.. were all signs of god(s). There really isn't any one force behind all of these phenomena (that we have discovered yet). So defining gravity, the weak nuclear force, and the rest as "god" just makes no sense to me. Why not call anything written by a human as written by "god" since it's all from chemical reactions in a brain? Why not say that satellites were made by god?

It's just meaningless to me.

Interesting little idea you have here.
I however believe that people are intuitive and I think that our innate spirit recognizes the signs and roadmaps that God has left for us. I think that ancient people worshipped physical landmarks because they recognized the signs that God left for them there.
You have a strange way of summarizing things like "the sun is just a star"...how can the remarkable way the sun functions be so limited by your perception?
You don't have the knowledge or the wisdom to paint with such broad strokes and over-generalize the entire human experience...but I appreciate your ideas.

Well.....you do like to put the easy question don't you ?

This is essentiality the old "Does 'God' exist ?" dressed up in a gravitational force, isn't it ? ;-)

OK,. you have a fair spread of the "believe in my version of 'God', or else" faction above, now let's try a simple, short version of what might be.

In the 'Beginning' there is an 'awareness', this entity becomes aware in stages, so first off she can't see anything, so let's turn on the lights, and so on. If the Judeo-Christian faction can't understand the words, such as we can possibly attempt to understand texts that have been passed down, translated and transliterated over thousands of years and many different idioms, then they will gather ignorance rather than understanding.

This entity is clearly going about the process of gathering data and experience. In the process it becomes clear that, with each point of experience there are going to be far too many potential outcomes for one individuated awareness to cope with.

So a procedure is adopted, the awareness is split, each and every time a decision is made between two outcomes at adecision point. That is where we enter the scene, we are the appointed delegates in the experience process.

The words attributed to the character known as Jesus, actually stay quite faithful to the ancient understanding of this, but they too have fallen foul of the constant re-iteration by priests and acolytes, using the 'authority' of their figurehead to control and exercise power over the people.

So over and over again the 'Truth' gets distorted out of all proportion, and 'God' is reduced to this grumpy old man sitting 'up there' somewhere, getting pissed off by just about everything we do, and cooking up schemes to get back at us. Why would anyone think that an omni-everything being would give a flying goose-bump what we get up to ?

The truth is that 'God' is us, all of us, all of us that have ever been, or ever will be, living our lives, re-creating countless lives, exploring every possible outcome of every possible decision. Together we are 'God', and every single one of us has the 'God-spark' inside us, driving us along on our journey. Even the 'Christian' tenets cannot argue the essence of this, that was basically what Yashua bin Jusef was trying to tell them.

The force in your question is interesting, there is only one 'Force', a la Star Wars, George Lucas, and his mentor, were trying to tell us some ancient wisdom, dressed up in some exciting special effects, and it is up to us if we want to be receptive.

There is a force, through our individuated 'godness' we are the actors able to produce the outcomes, which we observe for the benefit of the 'One', the collective consciousness, that which the power hungry have tried to turn into a vengeful, excessively 'human' 'God'.

We have truly turned the tables, remember the early biblical words, we are supposed to be made "in God's image" ? We have, instead, substituted a 'God' horribly distorted into the worst of human images.

In any event we are not required to 'worship' anything, even a simple rational exercise of reason would work out that an omnipotent being has no need of being 'worshipped' by his own creation, and if he did, it would be symptomatic of some advanced pyschotic condition. Vis 'Men in Black II', the little men in locker number 24B ( don't correct me about the number, I made it up, can't remember that well ) "All hail Jay, All hail Jay !............etc etc"

Oh, and gravity ?

Just a construct to make everything go round nice and steady, and to stop us all flying off the planet as we spin at 1,000 miles an hour ! Ask anyone to describe the energy-source that drives gravity. they can't. Richard Feynmann got it right about energy too.......he said that we don't have the slightest clue what energy actually is.

Energy is the Force. What causes energy to transform into matter ? We do, we the surrogate observers, manifesting on 'God's' behalf.

Whether what we manifest is 'good' or 'bad' depends on the viewpoint of each individual observer. How we use it is up to us, 'God', as is only right and proper, for an omnipotent being, just observes, through us, the results.

OK, that's it, obviously one could write volumes and still not get it right, but I tried the best I could.

Well, according to your belief that god is just a force, then yes it is useless to worship it because it is just a force.
But, God is not just a force. We are made in his image. That does not mean physically, we don't look like him. It means spiritually, we have a mind, conscience, reason, intellect, and feelings for others. That is how we are made in his image. So we can communicate with him. He is not just a force like you assume.

You see gravity and the sun and the earth as being somehow separate from God.

There is no point where God stops and something else begins. If it is not of God then it does not exist.
