I was about 15 weeks.
I describe the first feeling like a what a fish feels like when it swims past you in the water, just a gentle wave.

I'm 15 wks and feel more then flutters but im short which i believe makes a difference because of how much room the baby has to grow and since my space is smaller i may feel more then others. But i was about 12 or 13wks when i first felt what i described as a rolling feeling and butterflies with a mixture of quick sensations through my body. it also depends on the size of the baby and where they are in the womb all figures into when and how much you feel. Good Luck just remember though you wont always feel the baby everyday which can be a little nerve wrecking at first if you end up getting very worried and scared you can a either call the doctor, b get a etal heart monitor from a baby store(they sometimes rent them) or a trick i learned but dont use often because im scared it shocks the baby is ice on your tummy take an ice cube and rub all over your tummy no matter where the baby is you should feel something. Best of luck and many blessings

Hi there, I felt my first Baby move at about 20/21 weeks kinda like a little tiny kitten jumping on your belly but inside if you know what i mean. Do some thing for me and i guarantee you will feel it if you r this far along, try doing it several times a day lie flat on the floor very still with your hands behind your head and really concentrate and just wait for it it will come keep doing like 10 minute intervals throughout the day cause you wont know when baby is sleeping. Congratulations.....

I'm 17 weeks and 3 days, and i dont think I've had the "butterfly" feeling at all, unless I didnt notice it, but since about 16 weeks I definitely feel the baby moving and kicking around, its stronger than a butterfly feeling so its hard to explain. But that is my experience.

Hi, with my first pregnancy (I had a miscarriage at 17 weeks) I felt the baby move at 16 weeks. With my second pregnancy (my daughter turned 2 on 5 March ) I felt her only at 19 weeks - and only a very small movement. So, there is no definite time at which you'll feel your baby move. Enjoy every moment and do not stress if you do not feel a thing. My daughter was very lazy from the start - she moved only if it was absolutely necessary - and then it was only stretches, she never kicked! Good luck!!!

Hi, i was about 20 weeks with my first. I put on a lot of weight between my children and i wasnt expecting to feel my second till later on but i actually felt her first move at about 15 weeks.I was bent over picking something up off the floor. Its a really strange feeling to discribe, it is a bit like butterflies but it feels different to different people. You will know when its your baby and not just wind, its like they are saying hello for the first time. Its magic x

Most people feel the baby move around 5 months. Sometimes earlier. An old wives tale....add 4 months to the day when you first feel the baby move and that's the day your baby will be born.
