I have little love for the man who penned that the Geneva Conventions against torture are "quaint" - AG Gonzalez. But we simply don't know enough yet to convict the man. Let the process work - the truth will roll out in due course. Bush will ultimately be responsible for the outcome - he appointed the guy.

I like the little word plays you keep coming up with. The dept. of just-us, that's funny.
The fact is no human being can be completely trusted in a position as powerful as the head of the US government. This includes the president, senators, and congressmen. Eventually, even the most trustworthy person becomes tainted by their own beliefs. Eventually, even the most level headed person becomes insane with the power.
I would say that any person, regardless of political party, after 8 years in office as president can never be trusted with any authority ever again. Bush is no exception.

This is not their first time an administration has fired
attorneys

": While the Bush administration has dismissed eight U.S. attorneys (who do serve at the pleasure of the president), back in March 1993, Bill Clinton’s brand new Attorney General Janet Reno demanded the mass resignation of all 93 U.S. attorneys, including attorney Jay Stephens, who was not far from indicting corrupt Rep. Dan Rostenkowski, Democrat of Illinois.

what's 'corrupt'? he removed a few justices. Clinton threw out all 93!! and Katie and Oprah never said a word.

When Clinton removed a prosectuor who was getting too close to Truth in the Whitewater mess, not a peep...

this is just more smoke-and-mirrors from the Left. they have done nothing they promised they would, and have done many things they promised they wouldn't...including adding tons of pork to the military appropriations bill this past week...

how can anyone look at the piles of steaming bodies left spinning in the wake of Bill, Killary, and Janet Reno and say ANYONE else is corrupt?

Wow, very original, "just us", that is almost clever. The American people elected GWB twice or have you not accepted that yet? It seems as liberals trust with his authority as they voted Gonzales into be AG and to go war in Iraq. You are lost on this issue and not very bright
