I talked with a lady who was his neighbor when he was growing up . She had many fascinating stories to tell about the 'neighborhood hero', Ronald Reagan . One of the stories , which I already knew, is that Ron saved more lives as a lifeguard than anyone else ever had !! The kids in the area would always go swimming in the river which had very strong currents and undertow. . . . .but Ron was never afraid then. . . or when he was President !!!
