My spouse and I aren't very sexually active however we want to have a baby. We agreed I should start charting because we have tried before and nothing. Should I wait to see if i have a pattern then ttc to increase my chances? If so, how many cycles u think I should chart before I should so some form of pattern? Help ! I am only charting my temperature daily.

You should wait probably 2 months to make sure that you have a regular cycle each month. Don't get stressed out because the more you stress the less likely your chances are. Have fun with it and enjoy! Good luck and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Depends what you mean by "trying"... if you're ready to have a baby now, then certainly there's nothing wrong with going unprotected and seeing if just your normal activity will knock you up. But if you really are not that into sex and don't want to bother without it being goal oriented... after about two cycles, you should hopefully have at least some idea of when in your cycle you ovulate. Two points makes a pattern, albeit not a huge one, that you can start using.

Try the conception calcuator on www.babycenter.com. you can join for free and I used it even with a irregualr cycle and got pregnant the first month, the first try. Also, remember if you want to have a baby and are trying dont have sex everyday, try every other day during the time of most likely becoming pregnant, so his sperm has time to build up.

Use that with the combo of test stips to detect when you are ovulating. First response makes them. They are pretty useful and tell you the three days you are most likely to concieve. In the mean time, have sex and lots of it! Don't make it a chore to have a baby!
