Do you feed him carrots or dark green vegetables? Then this is what is colouring the urine. Hot ears is a good sign that he is cooling himself properly as they act like radiators to get rid of excess heat from his body.

Go on the internet to get information about what colour a rabbit's pee should be. My rabbit's ears are usually warm because rabbit's use their ears as a way of cooling down their bodies if they are hot.
If you are unsure on what to do, take your rabbit to a local vet. Ask and make sure they have a vet who specializes in small exotic animals.

Your bunny is fine. Rabbit pee varies in color from yellow to red to brown. It has to do with the type of food he eats. Rabbits can't sweat or pant like dogs do, so their ears are the only thing that helps them cool off. Excess heat leaves their body through the ears.

What you feed him depends on his age and weight. This link will give you all the info you need.

Your first reaction to something you think is a problem should not be to get on Yahoo! Answers. If you are unsure you need to pick up your telephone and call a vet. Sure, people on here can help you but I think your time will be best spent talking to a professional.

I was really worried when my Bun had red pee. I called the vet, and it turns out the color reflects what they eat. Carrots, darker lettuce and so on. So don't be alarmed about that. Always ask your vet to be sure and ease your mind.
