put washing machine on a hot cycle with some white vinegar, hopefully this should do the trick! good luck

I would try putting a cup of Bleach in and running it on a really hot cycle and leave the lid up so it can sit for awhile then run it through all the way. Good luck!

The best stuff to use, is that orange gloop, that mechanics use to clean their hands.Use a hand scoop full, add to a full tub of warm water, and let this work thru, the whole wash, rinse cycle

first put a cup of white wine vinegar and your machine on a 95ºc do the same but with a cup of bleach 95ºc , This will rid the smell

I bet your relatives washer stinks of turps now too,its very hard to get rid of that smell,white vinegar is your best bet.

Try a boil wash with powder but no clothes, and an intense rinse. and wash out the drawer and filter.

fill your washer up with hot water then add a little detergent and a cup of bleach then let the washer run a full cycle, i got this advice from a sears repair man and it works
