I wonder if these people are actually paid to do this by Sony and other companies who want to generate a lot of publicity for their new products because it seems to create a lot of attention. If you want to advertise something then what better way to do it than paying hundreds of people to queue for and buy or pretend to buy it.Or maybe these people are just totally sad and too impatient to wait for the price of PS3 to come down,in probably just a few months.

Nobody in this country queued for 2 days - the most anybody queued was from the morning until the midnight launch. And even then they didn't need to do that, as it hasn't sold out anywhere.

Well people here in the USA had done it and then they were selling them on ebay for $2000. However when everyone realized they suck, the ebay price dropped to the retail price. I really dont know why people in the UK are doing it because it is even more money than it is here, and the world already knows the PS3 is a major disapointment. In addition, there is no christmas season coming up so you can resell it for more. In the end they are just dedicated fanboys that have nothing else to do.

True, but some of them also made more than a grand off of each one. If you work at McDonalds and did it, you were smart, but otherwise it did seem silly.

An utter waste of time and money. But then if you bought one, you're probably thirty-something and living with your parents, so you'll have plenty of both.
