Why would they search for a bird that was declared extinct? Nothing better to do?

Yes, you are right - sometimes I think they just look for things to spend our money on...it all has to do with proving how old the earth is...etc. As a nation, we waste so much money..and we're so rich compared to all other nations - it's embarrassing, I think. And apart from that, I hope everyone is having a great day so far. It's only 9:27 here in sunny Ca. yea.
