The reps have a pretty big hill to climb, and I'll definitely support them provided they bring it, but I'd like to know what other opinions are on this issue as well. Thanks!

In Bush's news conference on friday, he did what all us republicans were waiting for and called the democrats out. Here are a couple of his quotes

THE PRESIDENT: Instead, Democrats in the House, in an act of political theater, voted to substitute their judgment for that of our military commanders on the ground in Iraq.

THE PRESIDENT: Yet to score political points, the Democratic majority in the House has shown it is willing to undermine the gains our troops are making on the ground. Democrats want to make clear that they oppose the war in Iraq. They made their point. For some, that is not enough.

To say the democrats in the house and senate are disheveled, would be an understatement. As long as they continue to make a mockery of themselves and show everybody who they really are, and if Bush continues to call them out, this could set up the Republicans for a legitimate shot in '08.

The Republicans merely have to expose the truth.

Democrats make this big, phony show about opposing certain issues in public, and then privately often vote in favor of the issue (along with the Republicans), because they don't believe the cr@p they tell their ignorant, impressionable constituents. Did you notice that all but four Democratic senators voted to extend the Patriot Act? In public you only hear Democrats criticizing it, but they realize the Republicans are absolutely correct about its vital importance, and therefore can't oppose it when it really matters.

Expose Hillary for the lying, duplicitous, untrustworthy, bitter chameleon shrew she really is.

Expose Obama for a lightweight wanna-be.

Show how far Iraq has come: new schools, people voting, a stable economy, good employment.

Remind people that we have apparently been immune from further attacks. Obviously Bush's strategy of keeping the enemy so busy on their own turf they can't muster enough resources to make another trip here. Bush has made it practically impossible, or so it appears.

For starters, they can give up the gangster lifestyle, hoodlum activities like treasonous CIA outing, Justice department scandal(s), accepting the third world status America now enjoys because of current republican leadership. When reconstruction begins under the next Democratic administration with the full power of the congress behind them thinking for America rather than the big business CEO cast, progress can then be made. I am from the Midwest which is not forward thinking like the north east and west coast.

I think its very possible. Although the strong dislike for Bush is a mark against the Republican party, I think there is still a good chance. The Democratic primaries are going to be a strong fight, and I think that the supporters of the Democratic candidate that doesn't get the nomination will be very likely to be switch voters come November. It will be interesting, for sure.

I'm a democrat but I have a lot of republican views. I think because republicans don't want there tax dollars to support people who want to sit on there a** and collect a check with out working because there lazy ( I know some people just need help) There is a difference between needing help and being lazy. Republicans don't want to help the lazy

A moderate plat form backed up by a moderate voting/track record. Leave abortion alone. Leave the gays alone. You don't have to agree with either, just leave it alone. Enough already. Stop acting like theirs a war on Christmas or prayer. There's not. Most Americans celebrate Christmas and most Americans pray. Stop appealing to the most radical elements in your party and appeal to the normal day to day Republicans. Have a candidate that understands the value of compromise and working with others. Get back to your original party values. You have some great ideas on your side - use them to your advantage.

I think it's winnable. If Hillary is the candidate I don't see her doing anything in the south and plains states. She'd probably win northeast but a complete idiot would win there for democrats. It's getting to be coming down to a few swing states (e.g. Ohio, Wisconsin) anymore.

Putting forward the right candidate who isn't beholden to the Religious Right, and getting the Democrats to nominate Hillary.

A miracle, the American People are sick and tired of republican incompetence. Not to suggest all republicans are incompetent, just the group of boobs in the white house right now.

The democrats will increase their control of the house and senate, and they will take the executive.
