Yes call your service provider and they can tell you how each one is different, also if you do not want to recieve sales calls go to donotcall.gov heres the ling Here is the link:
https://www.donotcall.gov/Register/RegVer.aspx?kVhZ4K3uhM4%3d-JOgzoWZT0%2bg%3d9342-20060607-193956-8409
Click on the link to complete your request to register your phone
number with the last four digits 9342 on the National Do Not Call
Registry.
Important: You must respond to this email by clicking the link within
72 hours for your registration to be successful.
Once you have registered, your phone number registration will be
effective for 5 years. It will be illegal for most telemarketers to
call you,
and you will be able to file a complaint if a telemarketer does call
you. The website www.donotcall.gov provides information about filing a
complaint.
Important: After you click on the link, print the web page and keep it
for your records.
Troubleshooting: If you don't get a "Registration Complete" message
after clicking on the link, or the link does not work, use your "cut"
and
"paste" functions to insert the entire link in the email into the
"Address" line on your Web browser. Cut and paste the entire link -
it's
long. Do not re-type it.

Yes of course. You can set its phone number on your block list. Whenever he calls, he will be automatically blocked. As to how to set, it depends on different hand set. I can not tell until you show me your phone.

Provided that you know their number and they don't use somebody else's phone to call you.....yes. But if they are determined to speak to you they will withold their number, use another phone etc etc. In which case all you can do is cut them off.

I like to give them no ring tone, so when they call, my phone does nothing to alert me.
