I am not sure why your teacher said that. From the comment, "my teacher is mad for not letting him manage my interviews" I get the impression that maybe (I say maybe because I can't be absolutely certain.) that he is either jealous of your talent or feels that he should get credit for your talent. If you wish to try publishing your future works, talk to your parents about it.
I will also ask about it. There used to be a company that published unknown authors' works. You won't make much, if any, money. However, it is a way to get recognized as a writer.

Tough question! I guess it boils down to this: what are your teacher's motives? They have a job, and though they may (or may not) care about you, you'll be someone else's problem next year or next semester. You are the only one that you can trust to look out for you!

That being said, your teachers have a lot to offer you in the way of advice and instruction; just don't depend on them to do what's best for you.

Trust - is given and received, and as such it is earned every step of the way.

If you are deceived at first, you are very good at learning your lesson.

I have no idea what your interviews are, but it very apparent that your teacher has lost your trust.

I say "trust your instincts" - step away from those who don't have your very best interests in mind. I once asked GOD to remove those people who were toxic to me, and GOD did just that - and I'm still amazed today and the quick and immediate response to my prayer.

GOD bless us always.

May be you shouldn't trust your teacher, but don't be surprised by the world's criticism of your work. You may not be ready may be you are.
