My cat Mitzy is so lovely and sweet, but I go on vacation in 10 days, and I really don't know how to make sure he is not bored? we have a dog but she's lazy and just lays around, so should I put some toys out, and my grandpa comes over 3 times a day but Mitzy is so used to be held he cries until you pick him up. SO should I just have my grandpa keep him company, but he will cry until he comes back, and I don't want to keep him in a vet because he doesn't like it there, and I feel bad for the poor thing. What should I do??

You could get your Granpa to move into your house.

Since the cat would mostly be by itself for 10 days, not only leave some toys out, but hide some of them as well. It will probably wonder around the house a lot, and finding a toy in an unexpected place might get it more excited about wondering around the house by itself.

Don't worry, Mitzy will do fine. He will get use to grandpa coming and going and seek his attention when he come in, but when your not there he will most likely sleep a lot. He sure will be glad to see you when you get home though.

Well, if you want to keep him at home for the duration of your vacation, I'm not entirely sure there's much you can do. Can your grandfather house him until you get back? If not, your best bet is to let him stay home; he may get bored or lonely, but as a cat, he'll find something to do, and make a new friend, even if its just a housefly.

Cats are pretty good at keeping themselves entertained. It would be good to leave out a few of her favorite toys for her to play with, but don't worry about her crying while you're away. She only does it when you are around because it gets you to pick her up.

leave a radio on some classical music so the cat won't feel alone!
