FDR's MOM told him that she would disown him and kick him out of her will if he (1) ever saw Lucy again or (2) left Eleanor and the kids.
How many presidents had their moms threaten to disown them?
Oh well, as a Democrat, I prefer to delude myself that my party's leaders are perfect. I love to ignore any and every flaw in my party --- no matter how big or how small. Yet, I love to bash anyone else.

It's normal to call them as you see them, but the old adage about he who is with out sin can throw the first stone.
So you shouldn't throw that stone if you & yours have sinned.
I am not in any way, shape or form a fan of George Bush & friends. They have did harm to this country that will be years before things can be corrected.
As bad as he has been the way we chose our leaders don't mean that the next one will be any better.
At best we can only vote for someone & hope we chose right.

Here's a piece of trivia that's slightly more up to date, by 80 years or so: George W. Bush's parents never saw a future in politics for him until he actually entered the race for TX governor when he was almost 50 years old.

I think all presidents have affairs, FDR was 1 of a minority who failed to keep it secret. ( some people call Washington the father of our country) The personal qualities that get people to vote for you , are the same qualities that get you laid.
