All parents need to have the following traits.. Patience, love, understanding, good morals, and more patience. ;) they also need to make time. Time to give needed attention to their children and teach them the difference between right and wrong.
They need to try to understand their child and not just harp on them. Children are just as individual as you and I so you cannot expect them to think or react like you do. The older they get, the tougher it is. Patience, love and understanding sometimes are the only things that can get you through a rough time. So thats why I say those traits are most necessary.

To be in love, Legally Married and financially responsible before having sex and bringing children into the world that you truly want.

I'm in agreement with bull.....they also need to be patient ..............and willing to learn how to learn new parenting skills everyday......children don't come with a how to guide that works for each specific personality they have
