That depends on the file size. A 45 minute episode that is 100 mb, will have horrible picture quality, but will download much faster, than lets say a 45 minute episode at 500 mb. But the 500 mb file will be high quality.
The length of the show, doesn't really have anything to do with it. It's all about file size.

time lenght doesent really affect the size
as its the size of the file that needed to say how fast you are getting
say this episode is 700mb in file size !
and you downloaded this at approx 45 mins
you are getting a speed of approx 400 - 450kb/s
now that is fast to some but not fast to others
if you have adsl and its a 8mb line thats quite good
but agaain everythng like time of day, how you are getting it
ftp/ torrent file / all depends, i would say its quite fast

It usually takes me 10 to 20 minutes to download a 45 minute episode and I have a cable modem.

Depends who you use i get around 300kps from private trackers. So can be really quick download. Try private trackers they are quicker due to the fact that every one has to seed on a 1:1 basis.

Try using flashget freeware to speed up the downloading.

there can also be a speed limit on the site/ftp from where you download.
