Yes, never really understood Sophie Ellis Baxtor's agrresive lyrics. Was she trying to get street cred? I mean, this is just an excerpt:
"It's murder on the dance floor, but you better not kill the groove DJ. I'm gonna burn his goddamn house right down." Whoever the Groove DJ is, he's really in for it: "If you think you're getting away, I will prove you wrong, I'll take you all the way, stay another song.. I'll blow you all away, hey!"
And so she lets the entire disco know something's fizzing in her rucksack. Nice.
All that said though, I love the song and I'm glad she's back with another CD.
