Systems no, games yes, though that I would say has more to do with the marketing departments that think, oh this game won't be big in the US, and it doesn't come over until for some reason years later they bring a sequel out, look at Final Fantasy, ever since 7 they have been bringing the older one out over here
one thing with the systems thing, they did bring out a sort of add on for the N64 over there but that was a big flop, so they didn't waste the time bringing it over here

Systems? Yes and No. The system itself NO, but things like "skins" aka White PS2 or such Yeah.
Games? Yes
Accessories? Yeah still, although not as often

not really. you find that sometimes a good game here and there gets released in japan only, but if you find an import shop and have the money you can get it.
