If your boyfriend plays baseball regularly, he will probably want some input on the glove and bat. Their fit and feel are a matter of personal preference. He will thank you for the gift, then use what he likes, or feel that he is on the spot to use the one you got him, and will be dissatisfied.

Several baseball manufacturers make decent baseballs. Moreover, each manufacturer makes a variety of models in several price ranges.

First priority is to make sure they are leather covered, hand sewn, official size and weight. Then to upgrade get a game quality ball that is approved by a league or association. Rawlings makes the official major league baseball, but it will cost you probably over $10 each. Any ball approved for minor leagues, high school, college or a youth league (PONY, Babe Ruth, CABA, USSSA, American Legion, Little League, etc.) will be of a decent quality.

And if they are used regularly, they don't last a long time.

I have'nt played baseball in a while. But Mizzuno I think was a pretty good brand. Make sure it's a baseball glove & not a softball glove. Softball gloves r a little bigger & will usually say softball in da pocket or in the part where u catch da ball. As for a bat get 'em a wooden bat. Louisville slugger is da oldest & more known. Louisville slugger also makes gloves. As 4 a ball look 4 rawlings. Rawlings is also good 4 gloves. Good luck.

For baseball gloves I think Mizuno is the best I have had on for over 6 years and would not trade it. Baseballs probably Rawlings and bats Demarini is the best on the market but if they are to pricey you can find Easton bats are pretty good.

Make sure you get him a new bat because bats lose their pop over time.

Good Luck

If you wnat to get him a nice gift, you can always buy a combination of the following:

- 1 Bat (made of wood for baseball)
- 1 Glove (dark brown or black are the better looking)
- 1 pair of batting gloves
- A set of some balls

The following brands are the best in industry:
Franklin, Mikasa, Wilson, Rawlings, Rusell Athletics...

Oh I almost forget, one of the best gifts is a jersey of a favorite player, you can asked him who is his favorite in a conversation (tell him "just to know, nothing interesting")

Rawlings makes the official baseballs for all leagues. If you want a wooden bat, try Louisville Slugger or Mizzuno. If you want an aluminum bat, and you don't want to spend too much, try Easton. Mizzuno also makes mitts.
