An Asian movie, Gubra.
It's the continuation of the movie, Sepet, and in the first, the protagonist's boyfriend was seen dead in a traffic accident.
However, in Gubra, after the credits rolled, the scene showed the protagonist in bed with the "dead" boyfriend who is now the husband. It is unexpected because throughout Gubra, the female protagonist is shown as married, and divorced, and left with the dead boyfriend's brother.
Although this ending has got me wondering and caused me to scratch my not-itchy head for nights, I wouldn't change it because I hate "happy endings" and tragedic ones.
So, all in all, this kind of twisted and unexpected ending suits fickle me fine (:

In the Color Purple when her children finally meet their mother for the first time. Best movie ending EVER.

I have two and in a way they are similar. The ending of The Shawshank Redemption and the ending of Enemy of the State.

The Titanic and it makes my husband Furious!!! He wants to know why she died and went back to Leonardo when some rich guy had married her (the pictures the old woman dissplayed) and given her all that money to fly and other graces. He really Hates That!!! @80) HA!!

Say Anything. I went with about ten people and am proud to say I was the only one who got the ending. Very subtle, but very meaningful

Shawn of the Dead. If you havent seen it, dont read on. But his best friend gets bitten by a zombie so he goes back and lures him to the shed in his backyard where he locks him up to play video games with him forever.
