Tony Blair and his government are just a bunch of loosers - failure is their hallmark. We now have something like 2.5 million kids in UK living below the poverty line. This is a line set by government and which citizens should not fall below. Here we are right at the beginning of the 21st century and we have more real poverty than we had 100 years ago. Do not quote me but check it out with the Salvation Army who have complete and accurate records going right back to the 19th century. They will confirm that there are now more people sleeping 'rough' on our city streets and there were when Queen Victoria was on the throne.

What the Blairites do is distract our attention from these 'real problems' and focus instead on silly issues like overweight kids and crap school dinners. I have just read an article in my local rag in which kids in the 10-15 age group say they hate the new all veg and fruit school dinners and loved having hamburgers and hot-dogs etc.

People should eat what they like and not what they're told to like. The British have always been a fat nation. My own race, the Welsh, have always been fat. Try living at 1600 feet in a cold damp climate with a skinny body - you die. Put on some blubber in the summer and burn this off slowly during the winter and then back on again and so on. It's survival in a cold climate. Spring does not arrive in the Welsh mountains until nearly June. Here in my Kent garden, my 30 high [totally useless] Victorian pear tree is just about ready to burst into monster raving eye blazing white blossom. Where did I leave my shades?

Yes I think you are right. They are the greedy elite and the working people who create their wealth have the poverty and fight their war for them.
