Because if we didn't get bored, we'd all just sit around and do nothing 'cause the boredom didn't bother us since we have no sense of boredom. Einstein would not have come up with his Theory of Relativity, and I would not be on Yahoo! Answers because I would be having too much fun staring at that oh-so-mesmerizing speck o' something on the wall.

I read some or other philosopher recently who says that boredom is what makes us uniquely human and shows that we transcend our physical circumstances. He even linked it to religion, saying that we seek God by allowing ourselves to become bored and waiting for his presence (ie giving up control over how we spend that bit of time). Not sure whether I agree, but it's an interesting idea.

Getting bored isnt too hard to do .. basically we get bored when our brains need stimulation and we dont give it any when we need somthing to do but dont know what to do to get out of being bored .

because we have capacity to explore many things....but we r humans and our power is limited....what i am saying is:.....we have to much to give with our brain that the limited power that God gave us causes to bore

Because of several influences and occurences but mainly:

-due to a loss
-due to knowledge (knowing you're sick for example)
-due to pain
-lack of concentration
-lack of interest and creativity
-loneliness
-conscience
-lack of simplicity which turns valuables into non-voluables)
-lack of proper childhood
-lack of love
