Because a woman can never be satisfied with a man who is happy with himself. She can't help it, if he is content with his lot in life she has no choice but to start hen pecking him.

I don't think that only girls do that, guys do it too.
I think it's because we are looking for the perfect and ultimate happiness something that does not exist for me at least. We are trying to change someone's bad side whether is small or big because it makes us unhappy. In order not to feel sad and unhappy we are trying to soften the "hard edges" in vain most of the times.

We would all like to change things about our mates that we don't like and we think we can so we try until we find out it's impossible. We like a challenge that's all.
