Menstruation occurs about every 28 days. Since there are 365 days in a year menstruation generally happens 13 times per year.

Normally, menstruation occurs every 28 days which would mean 13 times per year. However, many females can have cycles that occur less than or more than the average 28 days. If one is looking to find out the number per year, I would suggest keeping track for 3 or 4 months, then make the calculation necessary to determine how many per year for that particular person.

Ditto on what everyone else has said. 12-13 times a year is the normal amount of times.

However you can be under stress or differant thing's can happen that makes you miss period;s which can take that down to a lower number. And some people have sooner period's which can make that go up to more periods per year. All depends on the person and how often they get their period.

But yea.. 12-13 is normal.
