First, make sure that you can do a liberty on the ground. I have my girls practice holding their liberty for 20 to 30 seconds. Once they have that down, we take our stunt to the air.
When you take it to the air, firmly plant your feet on the mount, your bases should be the ones to steady you. As you go up, straighten your body and get as stiff as you can. Do your liberty while squeezing your buttocks at the top position. Remember to center yourself...not balance....center as in yoga.
Hope that helps!

Hate to mention but when your dad may not help you, I wish that your mother will. I am a core university cheerleading train and cheerleading isn't low priced. Of direction core schoolers wouldn't have jobs to pay for camp, uniforms, and many others. and even though you might get a task, you would not have time to paintings and pass to after university practices, conferences, and video games.... and recall assignments. You will want any person to aid you pay the charges. Is your cheerleading squad conventional or game? A conventional squad is the squad that does the pep rally, cheers at video games from the sidelines, and might do a part time efficiency. A game squad is a squad that travels across the country competing. Most of the game squads are co-ed, enormously expert, highly problematic stunts, killer flips, you get the factor. Its just like the Bring it On Squads. If your university has a conventional squad, all you ought to do is have a few variety of rhythm and get a former cheerleader or one who has already made the squad to coach you. You might pass to a UCA camp. They will coach you the fundamentals of cheerleading. I consider this would be the great alternative. If your squad is a game squad, your possibilities of creating the squad are very narrow until you've had years of gymnastics. Whatever occurs, I desire you the great of good fortune. Keep making an attempt and paintings difficult. Remember Cheerleading is difficult paintings, if it used to be any less difficult, it could be known as Football!

That a really strange question, being that I'm not a Cheerleader. "How can I stick my liberty without falling." I GWB answers this question.....don't listen. Seriously, I think you need to talk to your squad leader one on one, or your coach.
