i have a 20 gallon tank

-1 black molly
-1 clown loach
- 4 neon tetra
-2 serpae tetra
-1 angelfish

the 2 serpae tetras and the neons are very quick getting to and devouring the food (flakes), the molly manages to get some food and i feed the loach a pellet.

but my angelfish, being fairly slow and not that agressive a swimmer, never gets any of the food during feeding time! its like he doesnt even try. i put more food in after everyone has eaten and i try to put it near where he is but he just doesnt go up to the top to get any ? he wont eat any of the loach pelets either.... my sperpaes would prob eat all day long if i kept putting food in there but i dont want to over feed my fish and its not like my angelfish is even coming close to any of the flakes to eat them !

what can i do ? is there a special food that i can get for him or a particular method (strategy) that will assure he gets the food ?

Thanks !

Angels don't really like to feed from the surface too much. One strategy I use for fish like this is to feed some food right at the surface and also feed some where the filter output hits the water. This forces the food down into the water and spreads it around the tank much more quickly. My angels seem to be able to get a fair share once it spreads out.

Try turning the air pump and filter off when u feed them to reduce water currents ,so he can swim easier and faster reaching the food without any resistance from water currents and he will be able to reach food before it is all eaten.

confident, its sturdy at haunting fry and can be like that, nut your tank seems slightly over populated, the pleco ( ancistrus ) gets great and over advance the 15g or maybe the angel. provide it a while and yet another decision is that the flakes are too huge it spits it out to weigh down it, like mine use to do. goodluck

hi you could try adult brine shrimp , blackworms mosguito larvae, or guppie frys, they should have some live food, but dried freeze will do if you cant get any, dont panic she will eat when she is hungry x
