I'm looking to purchase a portable battery powered amp IN AUSTRALIA to play my bass through, and I was just wondering if it would affect the stability of the amp, or if there are any other micro amps that play bass.

No the bass needs a lower frequency and playing through the Marshall will cause distortion from the bass. Try a Dean mini amp for bass. Good luck friend!

It would work, but it would sound bad. I'd get a portable headphones amp type deal, instead.
