Tell Ralph that he is a hard worker and that he can burrow deep into the hard ground and clean up the soil. He could approach any drilling company in the vicinity who always require new and enthusiastic drillers.

He could advertise or model for, the company where he buys his shoes. This way he can be paid in shoes and some pocket money for his dancing lessons.
